Branding in Action
This self-initiated project explores how a visual identity can come together across multiple elements and applications. From the logo and colour palette to typography and supporting graphics, each piece was designed to work together as part of one cohesive system.
These branding samples are from The Birdhouse Cafe.
Logo packages that work on different colours and items allow you to carry branding across merchandise and packaging.
Carefully selected fonts and colours allow you to confidently showcase your unique business.
Sometimes, you just need an updated version of what you already have.
Not every business needs a completely new identity. Sometimes a logo just needs a little refinement to feel more polished, professional, and current while still feeling familiar to the people who already know it.
For this nonprofit, Pickleberry Pie, the goal was to refresh their existing logo without making it feel like a completely different organization. The existing colours were important to preserve, and the updated design needed to be something the organization’s board could feel comfortable getting behind.

The thinking behind the redesign.
The new logo was designed to feel softer, friendlier, and more child-focused. Rounded corners and chubby, playful features were inspired by the little fingers of the children Pickleberry Pie’s volunteers play music for, while a chunky, approachable typeface gives the name a warm and welcoming personality.
A subtle “P” is worked into the music note to tie the symbol back to the organization and add a little something unexpected.
The result is a logo that feels as friendly as the people behind Pickleberry Pie, while remaining clear and recognizable at smaller sizes — whether it’s printed on a business card, embroidered on a hat, or used in other small-format applications.
What the Client Says
“Christina was wonderful to work with! She designed a new logo and was very responsive to all of my suggestions. She also gave me a thorough review of the website and suggestions for updating it and creating a more cohesive visual brand. I highly recommend Christina!”
Good design doesn’t always mean starting over.
A brand refresh can be a great option when your existing identity has recognition and history behind it, but could use some refinement. Honeybird can help identify what should stay, what could be improved, and how to create a polished result that works for your business.
Not every business needs the same set of tools.
Maybe you need a complete visual identity. Maybe you just need a logo. Or maybe you already have a brand but need help making it feel more polished and consistent.
Let’s talk about your brand!
Once you’ve got a visual identity you love, Honeybird can help carry it into the materials your business uses every day—from polished presentations and training decks to event and promotional materials.
